Iran-Armenia feature film 'Yeva' has been set to screen at the 2018 edition of Duhok International Film Festival in Iraq.
Directed by Anahid Abad, the film will go on screen at the Focus Country section which is one of the non-competition divisions of the film event.
‘Yeva’, a woman who is under prosecution in connection with her husband’s murder, decides to run away with her daughter only to protect her.
In the new living environment, however, she faces challenges and ups and downs that life will put ahead of her.
The flick stars many recognized actors and actresses from Armenia such as Narine Grigoryan and Shant Hovhannisyan.
The Duhok International Film Festival aims to showcase innovative films of high artistic value. It works as a focal point for all who want to learn more about the possibilities the Kurdish region has to offer.
The latest edition of the festival has been under way since October 20 and it will end on October 27, 2018.
